MAQUETA SOBRE MESOPOTAMIA

Mesopotamia significa en griego “entre ríos”, comprende los territorios comprendidos entre el rio tigris y eufrates. En la actualidad comprende a Iraq y el este de siria, la abundancia de agua creo una gran riqueza natural.
Desde ese momento conviven dos importantes culturas: los asirios (Assur), al norte, y los babilonios (Babilonia), al sur. Cada uno evoluciona de forma diferente, pero ambos acabarán dominados por pueblos guerreros llegados del este, los persas (Persia), medos y aqueménidas.
Las ciudades están aglomeradas en unas ciudades-Estado que son autónomas e independientes y que están gobernadas por un monarca que dirige el ejército, administra la justicia y dirige los ritos religiosos junto a los sacerdotes. Es el dueño y señor de todo el territorio.
